ROMEO GIGLI SS25 RÊVERIE

The Spring-Summer 2025 collection by Romeo Gigli is inspired by the charm of early 20th-century Oxford tailoring, a theme dear to the brand and previously explored in the menswear collections of the 2000s. With the new collection, Romeo Gigli blends tradition and innovation, offering reversible garments and tailored jackets with precious details that give the silhouette a sophisticated and poetic elegance.

The aesthetics of young English college students from the 1920s, with their regimental stripes and colonial pinstripes, harmoniously blend with ultra-feminine dresses and blouses rich in ruffles and romance. The dresses, sometimes cocoon-shaped and other times cut on the bias, are embellished with drapes and suggestive knots, symbolizing first loves and nostalgia for lost love.

The materials, pure and eco-friendly thanks to the collaboration with Candiani, include workwear denim in cotton and hemp and silk-cotton razmir, offering superior quality and tactility. Versatility is a key element, with outfits suitable for both day and night, always maintaining an intellectual touch.

Among the standout pieces is the upside-down suit, a novelty that reinterprets the classic jacket by revealing the shoulders, blending masculine and feminine details. The precious vintage buttons, recovered from the ’20s, ’30s, and ’40s, adorn the ensembles, enriching the jackets with luxurious allure.
The collection also rediscovers shapes from the Romeo Gigli archive, with petal-shaped dresses reinterpreted in pleated bark-effect fabric and silk organza crepon. The rigor of the topstitching and the micro-waistcoats inserted into dandy jackets, along with dresses cut with diagonal stripes and ruched buttoning adorned with jeweled buttons, add an extra level of refinement.

The color palette is sophisticated and varied, including shades like zabaglione, milk, rouge noir, aqua, watermelon, and melon, in addition to classic black.

With this collection, Romeo Gigli celebrates English sartorial tradition, reinterpreting it with a modern and sustainable spirit. The fusion of masculine tailoring elegance and sophisticated femininity is designed for a contemporary intellectual woman who loves to stand out with style and awareness.
