MILAN and Chatsworth, Calif., September, 2022 – For the first time in Milan Fashion Week history, iconic and globally acclaimed fashion doll lines, L.O.L. Surprise!™ and Rainbow High™, inspired the latest fashions set to hit the catwalk during an exclusive that tooked place the evening of September 23, 2022 at the Spazio Antologico.
The famous doll brands produced by MGA Entertainment (MGA), the biggest and fastest growing privately held toy company in the world and a global leader in the fashion doll segment known for its innovative designs, have been the stars of a haute fashion show event at the international showcase in Milan. Amazing and elevated looks inspired by the most glam fashions in the toybox have been showed , as well as unexpected production elements and immersive music.
Two young Italian designers Francesca Cottone and Mattia Piazza interpreted the looks of L.O.L. Surprise!, Rainbow High, and L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G.™ dolls, which have all uniquely transcended the toy space, gaining mass notoriety for their influence on fashion and pop-culture.
Rainbow High, the No.1 fashion doll in the industry, has caught the attention of fashion enthusiasts around the globe with their highly detailed ensembles that pull inspiration from today’s hottest trends. The ever-growing, inclusive lineup of Rainbow High characters tout passions driven by the creative arts and are explored in the corresponding hit series, available for streaming on Frisbee, YouTube and Netflix. L.O.L. Surprise! has stunned the industry and beyond since their debut more than six years ago with their iconic packaging, fearless styles and endless surprises that characterize both the small dolls and most recently the larger L.O.L. The fashion show have been opened to the public and aims to engage fans and collectors of the doll brands and fashion at large, spotlighting the values of inclusivity and self-expression that both popular MGA brands inherently embody.

Italian-Colombian designer Francesca Cottone had been bringing her artisan craftsmanship to the universe of L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. — the taller of the L.O.L. dolls that feature fearless details, as well as fierce, dynamic, pop, and cool moods — thanks to the production entrusted to her family business in the Marche region, which applied special workmanship and take a green approach. Francesca also captured the Rainbow High world with a collection dedicated to color and those with the most special and fashionable talent, featuring retro details and unexpected combinations mixed with fine fabrics of high-quality tailoring.
Finally, Mattia Piazza, the founder and designer of the Casa Preti brand that presents visionary and virtuosic creativity through its garments, interpreted the trendy and unique L.O.L. Surprise! dolls, with the distinctive unboxing and surprise element, together with the concepts of inclusion and identity.
Accessories by some of the most important Italian designers and makers in the sector have been also be center stage. The Rainbow High models had worn the historic CULT booties, the L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. girls had worn Kallisté shoes from the company born in the 1950s, and Baldinini from the Romagna region had reinterpret the glamorous boots for the L.O.L. Surprise! segment of the show. The makeup had popping by Rafaella Squillace from International Beauty Designer in collaboration with VorMakeup by Valeria Orlando, while hair was by the creative minds of three key Wella Professionals stylists Vincenzo Panico, Tony Ross, and Andrea Gennaro.
