VdR–Industry Juries & Awards 2024
For over 20 years, Visions du Réel’s industry activities aimed to underline and exalt the variety and richness of creative documentaries while providing precious networking opportunities. Acting as the Festival’s professional hub, VdR–Industry is designed as a springboard for projects, facilitating both national and international collaborations and long-term partnerships between the projects’ representatives and the professionals attending the industry events. In 2024, 29 projects were invited to participate in three key activities : VdR–Pitching, VdR–Work in Progress and VdR–Rough Cut Lab, that ran as part of the Festival’s Industry activities in Nyon from April 14-17. The 55th edition of the International Film Festival “Visions du Réel” will take place from April 12 to 21, 2024, in Nyon, Switzerland.
A bold and well-rounded official selection of 165 films from 50 different countries, with gender parity for the second year running. With 88 world premieres and 14 international premieres amongst the 128 new films being shown, “Visions du Réel” reaffirms its position as Switzerland’s second most important festival in terms of launching new films, and as an unmissable international event for non-fiction cinema. ALCHÈTIPO BY ANDREA ALCHIERI SEASON 2024-25: CINEMA’S CHORUS
Is the seasonless collection 2024-25 of the aesthetic project ALCHÈTIPO by Andrea Alchieri, which revolves around the concept of magic, an element that has enchanted mankind for millennia, evoking terror, laughter, shock and wonder. The collection is inspired by the book “The Magic Book” published by Taschen, which portrays a world tinged with anguished black and eccentric colors, with distorted bodies, cryptic messages and references to the constant struggle between good and evil.
