Kimono Dress Midori (Japan)

Studied dressmaking in Ichinomiya high school. Graduated from Nagoya College of Music, then worked as classical music vocalist. Began making dresses from used kimono in the wake of the corona pandemic. Started my brand to create dresses for myself and other Japanese performers. Now making costumes for numerous musicians, finalists of several beauty contests and opera performers. All my dresses made from used kimonos. Most of the kimonos and obi belts that I make into dresses are made of silk, which is specially woven and dyed, and although they were very expensive at first, they recently have little value on the reuse market. The theme of my collection is “waves”. Inspired by Japanese ukiyo-e landscape paintings, waves are expressed through a variety of prints and lace.

Noe Bernacelli (Peru – M&W)

Noé Bernacelli had an inherent love for art from a very young age with his involvement with painting, sculpture and photography. However, fashion took a while to make an appearance in his life as he started studying medicine but realised halfway through that it was not for him. He travelled to Chile for a painting course and ended up finding his calling in the fashion world. Milan was the next stop, where he studied Fashion Design and worked with the renowned Italian designer Gianfranco Ferré. He threw himself into the industry with discipline, dedication and effort. Fifteen years later, he creates six magnificent commercial lines annually: Haute Couture, bridalwear, ready-to-wear, menswear, knitwear and accessories as his eponymous label is recognised as a benchmark for haute couture in Peru.

SAGABOI Collection S/S2025

For the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Sagaboi’s Creative Director, Geo K. Cooper, delves deeper into the unapologetic expression of Caribbean confidence and the defiance of standing tall in unfamiliar spaces. Titled ‘Out and Bad’, the collection draws inspiration from the cultural vibrancy and self-assurance rooted in Caribbean Carnival, where celebration meets protest, and identity is a affirmed through boldness and joy.

“Out and Bad is about showing up unapologetically, standing in your truth, and taking up space in places that might not be home but are equally yours to occupy,” said Cooper. “It’s a joyous response to the global hostility toward immigration and a rejection of the far-right sentiments spreading across Europe and the Americas. Whether it’s the riots in the UK or the plight of Venezuelan refugees in Latin America, this collection is a call to be fearless and joyful in your identity.”
