LVIV FASHION WEEK 2024 – CHARITY, INCLUSIVITY, AND NEW VISIONS

This year’s edition of Lviv Fashion Week 2024, not only introduced new fashion trends but also underscored that fashion in Ukraine is more than just style; it serves as a powerful force capable of supporting, uniting, and inspiring, even amidst war.

This season, designers went beyond showcasing collections; they actively participated in charitable activities, raising funds for the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Over 400,000 UAH was collected for the brigade, specifically in support of photographer Igor Fedoriv, who is now defending the country on the frontlines.

Ukrainian brands such as VOZIANOV, JULIYA KROS, Olesia HRYN, STARCHAK, Khrystyna
RACHYTSKA and NOVANA STUDIO presented their collections on the runway. Each model’s walk symbolized the resilience and strength of the designers who continue to create, experiment with bold choices, and employ symbolism. These collections brightly demonstrated that fashion can resonate with the spirit of the times and reflect its emotions and hopes. During Lviv Fashion Week 2024, an educational program was held to address the new challenges of communication and business management in wartime, focusing on marketing, PR, and adaptation to current realities. Invited experts included Elsa Sagura, Nika Tkachenko, Nastya Rozova, Iryna Kohana, Nataliya Yavorska, and Mariya Starchak, who shared their experiences and insights. The atmosphere between shows was enriched by an exhibition of contemporary art, organized by the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Additionally, graduate collections by young designers reaffirmed that Ukrainian fashion possesses a creative potential unafraid of challenges.
The “Diversity You 2024” inclusive project, focused on creating a barrier-free environment, receivedspecial attention. It served as a significant reminder of the importance of inclusivity for all. This year’s Lviv Fashion Week 2024 showcased that, even in the most challenging times, fashion has the power to unite people around deep social values, becoming an instrument for positive change.
