THE MONTE-CARLO FASHION WEEK WILL TAKE PLACE FROM APRIL 22ND TO 26TH
The Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW), the official fashion event of the Principality of Monaco is back full of novelties and with an increasingly international focus. The twelfth edition will take place from April 22nd to 26th, 2024 unveiling resort, cruise and capsule collections. Year after year, the event gains prestige, thanks to a rich calendar where fashion shows and presentations merge with moments of reflection on key themes related to circularity, sustainability, inclusivity and diversity. »
“We are proud to support Monegasque brands while also offering international fashion designers and personalities the Principality of Monaco as a prestigious showcase to present their collections and as a platform to discuss the importance of sustainable and circular fashion,” stated Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President and Founder of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode and the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week.
In previous editions, the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week has seen the participation of brands and personalities such as Naomi Campbell, Alberta Ferretti, Philipp Plein, Etro, Fausto Puglisi x Roberto Cavalli, Rahul Mishra, Stella Jean, Gilberto Calzolari, Genny, Chiara Boni, Matteo Ward, Sara Sozzani Maino, Desserto, Tommy Hilfiger, German Larkin and Nima Benati.
Following the institutional opening at the City Hall, the event will move to the prestigious venue of the Monaco Yacht Club, where will take place the ‘Face to Face’ with Federico Marchetti, Founder of Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, Chair of The Sustainable Markets Initiative’s Fashion Task Force founded by HM King Charles III when he was Prince of Wales, Board member of Giorgio Armani S.p.A.
Still at the Yacht Club, a new initiative addressing violence against women will be revealed. Great anticipation surrounds the MCFW Fashion Award Ceremony, during which the designers and fashion personalities who have distinguished themselves with their ethical and innovative vision will be honored.
One of the pioneers of social sustainability, attentive to the values of DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), Stella Jean, returns to the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week as an exceptional godmother. She will open the runway shows with her vibrant and energetic collection, followed by monegasque and international brands.
The runways will close with young designers from Central Saint Martins London with the scenography of the Pavillon Bosio – School of Fine Arts of Monaco.
The Fashion Hub will serve as the venue for Pop-Up events and the Monaco Women in Finance Institute Symposium, which aims to advocate for women’s inclusion and female entrepreneurship. Additionally, Radio Monte Carlo will be the official radio broadcaster for the event.
